Blarney and District Historical Society illustrated lecture for Wednesday 23rd August 2017 at 8pm in the Church of the Resurrection, Blarney is titled ‘The History of Blarney Castle Gardens.’
This is an up to date presentation containing many new items of interest, and the speaker is the well known Head Gardener of Blarney Castle Gardens Adam Whitbourn. Everyone is welcome to attend and listen as he explores the treasure trove of these fascinating world famous, beautiful gardens.
This lecture is part of Heritage Week 19th to 27th August.
Sunday 27 August – 9.30 am Morning Prayer in St Peter’s, Carrigrohane; coffee in the Parish Centre from 10.30 am; 11 am Sunday AM (contemporary worship) in the Parish Centre; 11 am Holy Communion in St Senan’s, Inniscarra and 8 pm Evening Worship in the Church of the Resurrection, Blarney.
Coming up – MARKING THE REFORMATION 500th ANNIVERSARY: THE BIBLE – TRUTH TELLING AND HEALING. Wednesday 6th September at 8pm in The Church of the Resurrection, Blarney. Speaker Mary Venables: Mary brings light to this subject for everyone – you don’t have to be a historian or a theologian! She will take us through some of the messy history to the importance of the individual’s relationship with God by faith and the refocus of the Church to its biblical foundation. ALL WELCOME
