Alpha - This October

Starts: Beginning first week in October

We’ve seen well over 100 people finish the Alpha course in the past few years. We would love you to come and give it a go!

We’re offering 2 courses this Autumn – running for  10 weeks beginning at 8 pm – one in Rathpeacon National School and one in St. Sennan’s Inniscarra on Tuesdays (starting 3rd October).

Each night has music, a great video on a question, drinks, nibbles and an opportunity to discuss some of the things raised in the video.

So, what is Alpha?

Ever wanted to explore the meaning of life or ask challenging questions about the Christian faith? Maybe you’re just curious about church stuff and want to have a nosy? Alpha is fun, it’s relaxed, and totally no pressure. It includes music, refreshments, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts.

Who’s it for?

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone and everyone, whether you are new to church, exploring faith, or a Christian who has family and friends curious about what YOU believe. Alpha runs in churches, bars, coffee shops and homes all around the globe. Alpha really is for anyone who’s curious.

Who’s running this course?

Alpha in Blarney & Carrigrohane is being run by Locals from The Catholic Church and The Church of Ireland – people who have been on the course in recent years and who are excited to be running it again this year. If you would like to help out we’ll be doing training soon so please let Robert or Bill lane know.

What exactly goes on at it?

The subjects covered include:

  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did he die?
  • How do I read the Bible or pray?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • Does God heal today?
  • What about the church?

If at any stage someone doesn’t want to attend any further their decision is respected and they won’t be hounded or added to a mailing list etc!

Why not either come and see for yourself – or bring a few friends along and discuss some of the big questions of life.

Who will you invite?
